Okay, why is it that my kids eye color changes around 2 years old? Seriously! All I ask for is one blue eyed child, and out of 4 I don't think that is too much to ask for! Hailey, Dallin and Landon all were born with really blue eyes. Hailey's are now a golden/yellow brown, Dallin's are green (sometimes can look blue depending on what color he wears) and Sydney was always brown. Here is a picture of Landon, however those beautiful blue eyes are now turning more and more green! Check back in about a 6 mo. to a year to find out what color they will stay???

Seriously NOT fair!

Landon's 2nd Birthday
Landon's 1st Haircut
I had such a hard time getting Landon's haircut. My kids have had such straight hair and he had the cutest blonde curls. I didn't want to cut them off, but promised Eric I would give him a trim when he was 2. So on January 1st, 2010, his 2nd birthday, my cousin Lisa gave him his first trim in her kitchen in Utah. As you can see by his face, we used lots of bribes to get him to stay still.

Happy New Year!
I can't tell you how excited I am for 2010. Let's just say that 2009 was not a year of "good health and happiness". I don't want to be depressing but the year brought about some great challenges and quite frankly, I'm glad it's over and that by years end, many of those challenges had been overcome! I suppose this is why I'm looking so forward to 2010. I've got a great "kick butt" attitude, am finally in very little joint pain, and am just ready to make great strides in all areas of life! Here are a few of our photos from New Year's Eve, which we spent at my cousin, Mike Smith's house in Layton, Utah.
Aren't we cute? (Lisa, Mike, Eric, Ronda)
Not at all sure what Mike is doing - but I thought it was funny!
I think it's his own version of "2010"
These 4 may look innocent, but they are crazy party animals!
A Cool Ice Show
For years I've wanted to go to the Ice Show at the Gaylord Texan (really nice hotel/resort near our house). This year the theme was Dr. Seuss so we decided to take the family and go. It was incredible. Everything was made out of ice and you had to wear these special jackets because it was 9 degrees inside! Cool, indeed!
Skiing in Utah
(pictures: Dallin & Sydney, Eric, Hailey in half pipe, Eric & Ronda, Cluff kids (minus Landon who was with G&G Freeman), Dallin and Eric in half pipe!)
It is so fun to ski with our kids. I have such fun memories of skiing with my family when I was a kid. Dallin continued to snowboard this year and do awesome. Sydney no longer yells, "french fries (to go straight) and "pizza" (to turn/stop) as she zooms down the mountain and is becoming quite the skier. Hailey wanted desperately to snowboard but we persuaded her to stick with skiing as she was in the middle of both basketball and volleyball, where her arms/wrists are greatly needed. Since learning to snowboard is full of falling, we were a bit nervous to let her try. Eric also continues to snowboard and I don't think I'll ever see him on skis again. For me, I'm sticking with skiing. When I snowboarded a couple of times I never felt so sore the next day and with my joint issues, my body just doesn't move like it used to!
